AC Goes Out at the Caesars -Trump Plaza Casinos in Atlantic City

The cards and dice are hot at the two Atlantic City casinos - and so is everything else. The air conditioning be out at Caesars and Trump Plaza on Thursday since of overnight power problems. The Air conditioner also was out at Boardwalk Hall.

There is electricity, but no cool air as the weather outside was 78 degrees and partly cloudy, with a forecast calling for a high of 82. The trouble involve a leaking pipe connection from a effectiveness plant nearby that provide cooling and cold water to business in the area, as well as casinos.

Neil Goldfine, management director of the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority, said the thermal plant is owned by Connective Energy. It chills water from the utilities authority and send it to the underground through large pipes to business in the area, as well as casinos.

"If they cannot get sufficient water through their pipes, the air condition go out,'' he said. A Connective spokeswoman did not at once return a message looking for comment. There was no direct word when normal air condition may be restored.

Workers arrangement the fans inside the casinos, and large convenient air conditioning trucks were brought in to try to give temporary release. Trump Plaza was enforced to cancel its "V: The Ultimate Variety Show'' for Thursday night because of the outage.
