Online Gambling Venture stands the BC Government ‎

It was not right the type of grand opening an online casino would expect for. Just hours once launching, PlayNow.com, the online gaming site in British Columbia, was shut down suitable to malfunction in the protection on the site.

Although there was for all time going to be learning the curve, online gamblers are not expecting that their personal information would be out there for further players to see. When the B.C. Lottery accepted the problem, they immediately pull the site down.

Now a week later, the B.C. government is position by their site. Debut Gordon Campbell claim that he still has confidence in the site and the people who are operating PlayNow.com. Campbell understands that staying power is going to have to be fraction of this process.

"I think we always have to be vigilant," said Campbell, when talking to reporters late last week. "We have to study from all the mistakes that are made and when mistakes are made, I feel that's exactly what they have tried to do."

Other online gaming sites that are keeping up in other jurisdictions have come out and claimed that the B.C. Lottery Corp. has been not careful and the breach of private trust is one that will be very hard to get back. That is not the emotion of gamblers, however, as they have to wait for the site to re-launch.

"I have been coming up a long time to be able to play slots online at a place where the government ensure my safety," said Margaret Lindsey. "If I have to wait a pair of more weeks, that's fine. I have complete confidence that this will be worked out and will not occur in the future."

The US, along with the other Canadian province, is looking into the prospect of Internet gambling regulations. If the B.C. online gaming site is victorious, other provinces may move quickly into the market. The US would instantaneously become the largest grossing regulated online gambling market in the world if legislators alter the current laws.
